ABOUT US
Sullivan (Lee) F. Marsden practiced as a Certified Public Accountant from 1979 to 1993, specializing in tax preparation and representing clients before the IRS. To be more effective in his practice, he attended law school, graduating from Vanderbilt University in 1989. His current services continue to include representation in all tax matters, both before the IRS and in court, tax and business advice, tax preparation and planning, estate planning, probate (including advice about avoiding probate), preparation of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Living Wills.
Current and former clients include award-winning musicians, university professors, doctors, other lawyers, families and businesses, as well as estates and trusts.
1979- 1993 CPA, California and Tennessee
1986-1989 Vanderbilt Law School
1994 Prevailed in Hall v US, a case which extended the federal estate tax deduction for bequests to a surviving spouse.
2003- Present Interim teaching of Income, Estate and Gift Tax class at Nashville School of Law
2006-2007 Helped coach University School of Nashville Mock Trial team which advanced to Tennessee State Championship
2012-2013 Tutored Math to inmates in Davidson County Correction Facility
